id Goodrich Thompson, of Rapid City, Mich., passed away peacefully at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colo., on March 17, 2008. He had dealt with longstanding health problems for several years. David was born in Trenton, NJ, on May 18, 1924, was married on October 10, 1953, and became a resident of Michigan in 1998. He is survived by his brother, Clifford, also of Rapid City, his wife Montez, of Rapid City, and seven children, 17 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He was an active member of the Elk Rapids Baptist Church, since 1998. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elk Rapids Baptist Church, 400 E. 3rd St., Elk Rapids, MI 49629.
